Meraki / μεράκι : Ongoing Series (2025-)

"Meraki / μεράκι" is a fabricated-reality photo series created by Mia Kolaras. The series explores constructed versions of reality, examining the elements of imagination and illusion by recreating Hellenistic statues and other prominent Greek-mythological figures into real-life portraits. To achieve this vision, sculpture-like photographs, along with portraiture and real-life scenes, have been used to explore different myths and legends throughout Greek culture.
